Daytime Classes Designed for Preschoolers

St. Paul FSC’s Preschool Skate class is designed to help the preschool-age skater develop preliminary coordination and strength to maneuver on the ice. This class will teach fundamental skating skills to preschoolers, so skaters feel comfortable and become independent on the ice.

Classes are 45 minutes, with 30 minutes of instruction and 15 minutes of supervised free skate time.

Class Times

Tuesday 1:00 – 1:45 PM

Wednesday 1:00 – 1:45 PM

Friday 9:00 – 9:45 AM

(During the School Year)

How to Register

This program does require the skater to register for Learn to Skate which is a collaboration between U.S. Figure Skating and USA Hockey.  Registration is just once per year and is required prior to registering for classes at St. Paul FSC to meet insurance mandates. If you’ve registered with Learn to Skate USA in the past, then this year you “renew” your membership. Registration for Learn to Skate USA has an annual fee of $17.25.

Step 1: Learn to Skate USA Registration
  • Navigate to the Learn to Skate USA website

  • Click on “Sign Up” in the upper right-hand corner

  • Click on “Become A Member”

  • Click on “Skater/Parent of a Skater”

  • Complete the steps to become a Learn to Skate USA member and then exit and return to this page to sign up for classes below

Step 2: Register for classes with St. Paul FSC
  • Create an account on our registration system to register for classes. If you have more than one child, you will need to create a separate account with a unique login for each child (you can use the same email address, but the password must be different). If you received a receipt for each individual child, then you signed up correctly. Class fees are non-refundable and due at the time of registration. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

  • Fall Registration available soon.
