2 camps for twice the fun and skating! 





This summer camp is a fun way to work on and improve your skating skills! We will focus on improving the skills that we know while learning new ones! This camp also introduces skaters to other aspects of skating that help us improve, such as dry-land work, dance, skating to music, and much more! Skaters will be performing a program at the end of the camp too!

3 Camp Options~ pick the option that works best for you!

  • 2 hr Camp: for skaters ages 3-5 yrs old/ Preschool Age
  • Half-Day Camp: for skaters of all levels
  • Full-Day Camp: for skaters of all levels


We have class options for everyone! This camp is designed for skaters who’ve had limited experience on ice, to skaters who are enrolled in Learn to Skate and Academy classes, all the way through advance freestyle skaters who are working on axels and doubles!

Skaters will be placed into small groups with other kids that are similar to them in age and ability so any level is a great level to join our camp! However, the 2 hour camp is meant for skaters ages 3-5 yrs or Preschool age since the activities will be geared towards their age and level.

Any skater from another club or who is a Learn to Skate USA or ISI member are welcome to join our camp!  Our campers want to make lots of new friends! 


2 Hr Camp Option

8:30-10:30 am Monday-Thursday
Skaters will also be in the camp show from 10:40-11:10 on Thursday July 20th! 
Camp includes 1 hr of on-ice time and 1 hr off-ice time per day
For Preschool age/ skaters ages 3-5 yrs old!

This camp option is meant to give our youngest skaters a taste of camp in a time frame that is appropriate and fun for them! We will be playing on-ice games, working on skills for our level, and enjoying topics of the day.

Here is a sample schedule of one day of camp:

  • 8:15-8:30 am- Welcome Activity and Get Skates On!
  • 8:30-9:00 am- ON-ICE Practice skills with your group and instructor(s)
  • 9:00-9:30 am- ON-ICE Practice Performance & Topic of the Day: Creative Movement Class
  • 9:30-9:40 am- Skates Off/ Snack
  • 9:40-10:00 am- OFF-ICE Jumping Class
  • 10:00-10:30 am- OFF-ICE Skating Art Project & Pack Up to Go

Half-Day Camp Option

8:00-12:00 pm Monday-Thursday
For skaters of all abilities and recommended ages is for skaters 5-15 yrs old

Our half-day camp is for skaters of all ages and abilities! Skaters will be grouped with other skaters who are of similar ability and level! Campers in this option will experience all of our main activities: on ice skill work, learning new elements on the ice, specialty on ice classes, and learning a program that skaters will perform on the last day of camp! Off the ice skaters will enjoy classes about physical conditioning/personal training, dance, choreography and creative moment, music, plus art projects and other activities! There is something fun for everyone!

Here is a sample schedule of one day of camp:

  • 8:00-8:30 am- Welcome, Warm-Up, and Get Skates On!
  • 8:30-9:00 am- ON-ICE Practice Skills and Learn New Skills
  • 9:00-9::30 am- ON-ICE Edge Class & Creative Movement Class
  • 9:30:45 am- OFF-ICE Snack and Journal
  • 9:45-10:15 am- OFF-ICE Class with Personal Trainer
  • 10:15-10:30 am- OFF-ICE Stretch Class
  • 10::30-10:40 am- Skates On!
  • 10:40-11:10 am- ON ICE Practice Skills in Program
  • 11:10-11:40 am- ON ICE Spin or Jump Class
  • 11:40-12:00 pm- OFF ICE Finish journaling, Review of Day

Full- Day Camp Option

8:00-4:00 pm*  Monday-Thursday
For skaters of all abilities and recommended ages is for skaters ages 5-15 yrs old 

For skaters who just can’t get enough of camp! The Full-Day Camp
focuses more on certain areas of skating with fun exercises and specialty classes! This option ensures that you will learn a lot and have a really great week!

Here is a sample schedule of one day of camp:

  • 8-12 pm- same as Half-Day Camp schedule
  • 12:00-12:30 pm- Lunch Break
  • 12:30-1:30 pm- Modern Dance Class
  • 1:30-2:00 pm- Art Project & Rest
  • 2:00-2:30 pm- ON ICE Spin Class
  • 2:40-3:10 pm- Off-Ice Jump & Spin Class with jumping equipment & off-ice spinner
  • 3:15-4:00 pm- ON ICE Small Group Class- more practice on skills, edges, spins, jumps, etc!

* If skaters are unable to be picked up around 4:00 pm, we are able to supervise them until 4:30-5:00 pm or skaters who stay until 5:00 pm may be invited to another class. Please verify with the Camp Director how late your skater needs to stay  and if we can accommodate them before registering!

Cost and What to Bring:


2 Hour Camp
Cost: only $88 for the whole camp! 


  • 1 hr on ice Instruction and 1 hr off ice instruction

Half-Day Camp
Cost: $176 for 4 half-days of camp!


  • 1 1/2 – 2 hrs of on-Ice instruction/day 
  • 1- 2 hr off ice Instruction/ day
  • Supervised activity time
  • 1 Camp T-shirt

Skaters must bring:

  • skates
  • warm skating attire
  • athletic shoes
  • water bottle
  • jump rope
  • notebook/skating journal
  • towel or yoga mat

Full-Day Camp
Cost: $330 for 4 whole days of camp! 


  • 2 1/2 – 3 ½  hrs of on-Ice instruction/day
  • 2-3 hrs off ice Instruction/ day
  • Supervised activity time
  • 1 Camp T-shirt

Skaters must bring:

  • skates and warm skating attire
  • athletic shoes
  • water bottle
  • SNACKS and a LUNCH 
  • jump rope
  • notebook/skating journal
  • towel or yoga mat

Kia holds her BA in Dance and Fine Arts, and she has an extensive dance background in all disciplines of dance. She also has a wide background in fitness with certifications in pilates, yoga, and BodyArt. Kia is very enthusiastic, and we are very excited for her to join our camp this year!

Olympic Gold Medalist- Speaker

Karyn is a motivational speaker who uses her skating experiences to inspire young skaters to follow their dreams.  As the Assistant Captain for the US women's hockey team in 1998, Bye Dietz helped Team USA win the first gold medal ever awarded in women’s ice hockey at the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan where she led the U.S. in scoring. At the 2002 Olympic Games, Bye Dietz registered three goals in a silver-medal showing in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was inducted into the USA Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014.  Bye Dietz currently does off ice conditioning training with figure skaters at St. Paul FSC and with other athletes as well as coaches hockey.

Sport Psychologist

Dr. Wagener, Ph.D., LP. is a Licensed Psychologist with a specialization in sport and performance psychology. She works with athletes of every age and ability to help them achieve their optimal performance consistently. She has lots of experience working with skaters and many figure skaters in the Twin Cities have worked with Dr. Allie.

Area Hotels

Here is a list of hotels that are all within 5-10 min of the Pleasant Arena that visiting skaters have previously stayed at. The best deals on hotels are if you book early!

Other Important Information to Know!




  • No rental skates available and please bring helmets for very beginner skater
  • Due to allergy restrictions, no snacks or lunches will be provided. Each camper must provide their own food and drinks though waters will be available for campers during breaks. 
  • Performance Day (the Thursday of the camp week)~ Skaters should wear a costume! If you have a costume at home, please bring it with (if you are traveling from far away otherwise the costume will be something that your child will already have at home. You won’t need to buy anything for the costumes for the performances unless you choose to for your skater. Regular skating clothes also work!

Private Lessons

The St. Paul Figure Skating Club offers private lessons for skaters who would like to enhance their camp experience! Please contact the Camp Director to set up a time and a coach for your skater.  Ice fees and coaching fees for private lessons are a separate fee than the camp fee. Rising Stars Camp does not cover the cost of private lessons or ice fees associated with private lessons.

Please note: when registering, if there is any info you don't know, just leave that space blank. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PAY FOR THE CAMP AND ENROLL IN THE CAMP! The camp director will also email you a few questions once the skater is registered so we have everything we need to make the camp a good experience for the skater! Make sure to provide us with a current email and please check for emails from the director!
