2021 Spring Ice Show: "Happy to Be Here"

2021 St. Paul FSC Spring Ice Show

"Happy to be Here"

We are pleased to announce that St. Paul FSC is planning for a 2021 Spring Ice Show that adapts to current and anticipated Covid-19 policies and precautions. Though this show will not be exactly like those in previous years, it will offer a fun and rewarding opportunity for St. Paul FSC club and program skaters to demonstrate their skills and interact with their skating community.

All home club and associate club members, Academy, Pre-Academy and Chaperone skaters are encouraged to register for this event! Registration for all skaters is due Monday, March 15th at midnight.

Event Details

St. Paul FSC 2021 Spring Ice Show: “Happy to Be Here”

Saturday, April 17th at Pleasant Arena

Start time TBD (between 9 and 11am)

We are anticipating that this event will allow very few, if any, spectators in the building. In planning for this, we tested a livestream during an event we held in February and we are confident that, with a few small tweaks, this will be an excellent way for friends and family near and far to view the spring show. To see an example of what the spring show might look like, view a recording of our Valentine's Day Show livestream HERE

All skaters registered for the show will receive 1 pass to the livestream. This pass is intended for one household only. Any additional households wishing to view the livestream may purchase a $20 virtual ticket. Additional virtual tickets will be offered on the registration form, but there is a subsequent link you can share with friends and family who want to buy passes of their own.

This year, we have a unique opportunity for St. Paul FSC club skaters: FOR THE 2021 SPRING SHOW ONLY, ANY CLUB MEMBER IS WELCOME TO REGISTER FOR A SOLO FOR A $60 FEE. This change is due to Covid-19 and only applicable to the 2021 ice show. We will be returning to our standing soloist qualifications for the 2022 show.

YOU MAY ALSO QUALIFY FOR AN ACHIEVEMENT SOLO DISCOUNT (25% off). You may have qualified for a solo under one of our standing criteria. If you did, be sure to select it as you sign up. You will receive special acknowledgment for your achievement. You will also receive your solo at a discounted rate of $45. Note that achievement criteria are listed on the registration form.

NOTE FOR ALL POTENTIAL SOLOISTS: To qualify for any solo, you must purchase ice with the St. Paul Figure Skating Club year-round.

Group Numbers

St. Paul FSC group numbers will be run as usual with the exception of size constraints. If more than 8 skaters register for any group number, the group will be split into two. There are also some updates to this year’s Opening Number (please read registration form for this information).

Academy, Pre-Academy and Chaperone Skate numbers will be taught entirely during regularly scheduled class times. This is a change from previous years. It will streamline the process and make things smoother for both skaters and families, but it requires one thing: all skaters registered for the Spring Show must also be signed up for the spring session of Pre-Academy, Academy or Chaperone Skate.
