Learn to Skate

An introduction to skating, our Learn to Skate programs are designed to teach the fundamentals of skating while fostering a love for the sport. St. Paul FSC offers class options for all ages and abilities. All lessons are taught in a fun and energetic group setting. Classes involve 30 minutes of instruction.

Preschool Skate

St. Paul FSC’s Preschool Skate class is designed to help the preschool-age skater develop preliminary coordination and strength to maneuver on the ice. This class will teach fundamental skating skills to preschoolers, so skaters feel comfortable and become independent on the ice. Classes are 30 minutes in length.

Academy

Bridging the gap between Learn to Skate and private lessons, the Academy program focuses on building a strong skating foundation in a small group setting. Learning is customized based on the individual skater’s abilities and allows skaters to develop at their own rate.

Coon Rapids Stars

Stars Edge Class is offered at Coon Rapids Ice Center, a St. Paul FSC affiliated rink in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. It is designed to introduce U.S. Figure Skating programming to Learn to Skate USA members as well as teach skills that will help skaters become gold test medalists.
