It's Great to Skate!

Basic Skills

Fundamentals of the sport! These 6 levels of the program introduce the fundamental moves: forward skating, backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, turns and Mohawks. Upon completion of the Basic 1-6 levels, skaters will have a basic knowledge of the sport, enabling them to advance to more specialized areas of skating. Classes will be 30 minutes with a 30 min practice time. Classes are for ages 7- 13 years old. Skaters within this age bracket who have never skated before should sign up for Basic 1.

Pre-Freeskate and Freeskate Levels

These levels are the beginning levels to figure skating. Learn advance skating skills, spins, jumps and spirals.

It's never too late to learn to skate! If you’ve skated as kid or have never been on the ice before, we can teach you how to skate and make sure you learn the basics (or even more advance skating skills too).

For skaters who want to refine their skating skills! No sticks or pads required, lots of edges, drills and crossovers!

Snowplow Sam 4

For skaters who have passed Snowplow Sam 3!

Boys Only Skating Class!

This class is meant for boys of all different levels to skate together! The class will be fun, fast-paced, and the boys will be challenged with new elements and skills! The class will focus on power and good skating techniques! Sometimes the boys will skate altogether and sometimes they will split into groups. Either way, boy skaters can skate together and learn from each other and will skate in a "boy" environment that only a group of guys can create! Please note: this class will not test kids to another level. Skaters should sign up for a regular skating class to test and pass into the next level and do the Boys Class in addition to the regular class. Or, they may just skate the Boys Class if they don't want to test.
